Our Story
We are now accepting new CSA members for 2026. To sign-up: https://sunbow-farm.localline.ca/shop. Let us know if you have any questions or need assistance with the process. Important FAQs about our CSA are below.
Established in 2003, Sunbow has been serving the Chippewa Valley with fresh, sustainably grown fruits, vegetables and herbs for over two decades! Our fruit and vegetable CSA is the heart and soul of our operation as it has been since our inception. We grow over 70 different varieties of fruits and vegetables. Thanks to our seven, large, high tunnels we harvest produce from early May all the way into November. NEW in 2025, we are collaborating with six other local farmers to host a diverse on-farm market on Saturdays that will include veggies, fruit, gourmet mushrooms, meat, flowers and even cookies (made with Sunbow herbs, of course!).
Our farm strives to create an environment where all organisms thrive. To this end, we follow all of the guidelines and rules outlined by the National Organic Program for certified organic production. We like to call our produce 'ecologically grown'.
In 2010 we began cultivation and wildharvesting of over 50 different medicinal herbs on the farm. Grown and raised with care, these herbs are harvested and dried on-site in our state-licensed commercial kitchen. We sell these herbs in bulk as well as assemble over fifty different medicinal herb products that are available in stores in Eau Claire and through our Internet store.
We are so grateful for all our farm members and everyone who has supported Sunbow over the last 21 years. Thank you!
Sunbow CSA FAQs:
-
Sunbow runs for 25-26 weeks each year. Start week depends somewhat on Spring weather. At this point we expect the first Monday delivery to be May 4 and the first Thursday delivery to be May 7. If we have a very cold or very cloudy Spring, these start dates may get pushed back a week.
-
We grow 75-80 different crops. Availability of individual items depends on the month. We do our best to keep a steady supply of crops available but certain items may not be available on any given week.
-
If you select a Monday pick day option, the store will be open for orders around Fri 6 pm and close Sun 6 pm.
-
If you select a Thursday pick-day option, the store will be open for orders around Mon 6 pm and close Wed 6 pm.
-
You do NOT need to order every week, BUT if you don't order you will need to put your box on hold so that the $5 for Farmer’s Choice is not deducted from your credit balance.
-
Mary Dirty Face Farm organic fruit, Deutsch Family Farm pork, local honey, syrup and mushrooms will be available most weeks for you to add to your box.
-
We ask that all members agree to help out at the farm for 2 hours at some point in the 2026 season. If you do not a $50 charge will be added to your account in October.
-
If you would like to have Moon Flour Bakery cookies delivered with your order, this option will only be available on Mondays (due to the baker’s schedule!).
-
Feel free to “share” your share with a friend or neighbor, but we will only pack one box for your combined order. Once you set up your account you should see a tab called “account settings”. You can add additional emails to your account on this page. All emails on your account will receive correspondence from me regarding ordering, but each share has only one login/ordering email.
-
If you run out of funds from your initial payment, you can always add more as a bulk check/cash or Venmo payment or pay week to week via credit card for the remainder of the season. If you make an added "bulk" payment, if there is a positive credit balance left on this payment it WILL be refunded to you at the end or the season or put towards the following year if you would like.
